Presentation
Founded in 1936, the Alliance Française of Durban was the first alliance in South Africa. Its activities include French courses of various levels and organization of socio-cultural activities. It is a Franco-South African non-profit-making organisation and functions through a local committee. The new one was elected in October 2007 : its President is Jaco Alant, the Vice-Presidents, Rosemary Wildsmith-Cronarty and Christian Belinga. Arrived in March of the same year, the new Director, Christian Madec, is appointed by the French Embassy for 2 years and half.
