Pour la premiere fois au Botswana Craft, le Beaujolais Nouveau

People came in a great number to tease their taste buds the French Way
“Beaujolais nouveau”, red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France, is the most popular “new wine”, fermented for just a few weeks then officially released for sale on the third Thursday of November.
At one past midnight on this day, from little villages and towns, over a million cases of Beaujolais Nouveau begin their journey through a sleeping France to Paris for immediate shipment to all parts of the world, carried by motorcycle, balloon, truck, helicopter, Concorde jet, elephant, runners and rickshaws to get it to its final destination.
Banners proclaim the good news : « The New Beaujolais has arrived ! ». One of the most frivolous and animated ritual in the wine world has begun.
This year, for the first time in Botswana on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union, the Embassy of France to Botswana and Alliance Francaise of Gaborone were proud to make it possible for you to be part of this worldwide event at the Botswana craft on November, the 27th 2008.
A great accompaniment on this evening of great French wine and French Food was Kabo Leburu, a local artist who seized this opportunity to promote his new released album.
