Opening on Tuesday 20 January at 6pm
‘Still Life’ is a collection of happy moments in the life of people living with HIV and/or AIDS. Looking at the photos, one has a sense of joy. The world as seen by those photographers is not sad or painful. Photos talk about family, food, children and friends. Photos talk about those moments that make our lives worth living.

The exhibition has been launched in Windhoek on 05 December 07. In 2008, facilitators will be trained to facilitate the exhibitions back in their regions. It is expected that many Namibians will see the exhibition and reflect on the myth that ‘once testing HIV positive, your life is a misery’. Hopefully, it will encourage people to go for the test and face the challenges of testing positive with less fear. The exhibition is furthermore extremely relevant to all the SADC countries since the HIV problematic is similar and the stereotypes identical. The exhibition is appealing to all people interested in photography as well as all people involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS, discrimination, stigmatization and ignorance.
