La Fête de la musique, cette année c’est le 19 juin !!!!!

The Alliance Francaise du Cap invites you to a celebration of music !

This "fête de la musique" gives both amateurs and professionals the opportunity to expose their musical talent.... but Jazz will be at the heart of the evening. For the 26e Fête de la Musique, young musicians have the place of honour !

PROGRAMME The evening will commence with music played by children from the following schools :
Zerilda Park Primary School (Cape Town)
Stellenzicht High Shool (Stellenbosch)
Lentegeur School of Music (Mitchell’s Plain)

And then The Deborah Tanguy Band : Déborah Tanguy has proved to be an extremely talented swing singer and musician. On this occasion, she will be accompagnied by Shannon Mowday (Saxophonist) and Carlo Mombelli (Bassist), the best in South African and French Jazz. On stage, she has a particular relationship with the audience owing to her vocal qualities, her improvisation skills and her fantastic energy. She is also a very experienced singer with a broad music culture and what she produces sounds very natural and flowing to both the audience and her fellow South African and French musicians.
