At Alliance Française du Cap, 11 April-16 May 2006
Are you the owner/manager of a hotel, bed and breakfast or guest house in frequent contact with French-speaking clients ?
In order to capture this growing clientèle in South Africa and improve the manner in which you receive them, you may wish to communicate with them in practical, simple French within the following contexts :
> Concluding a sale without misunderstandings (from reservations to settling the account, by telephone, e-mail or fax) ;
> Informing your clients about your establishment and your services (airport transfers, restaurant facilities, etc.) ;
> Greeting and welcoming your clients ;
> Inquiring as to their needs and taking note of these (i.e. : what they would like for breakfast, choice of bedroom, a wake-up call, etc.) ;
> Showing them around your establishment (restaurant, room, gym, swimming pool, etc.) or the town (restaurants, cinemas, pubs, shops, etc.).
Our French language course for the hotel industry is designed for you ! Specially drawn up by a team of teachers at the Alliance Française du Cap, this course will enable you, after twenty hours of tuition only, to acquire the basics of written and oral French within the framework of your specific domain : accommodation, sales and service.
Upon completion of this course, we give students model documents in French consisting of :
> an introductory pamphlet about your establishment : geographic situation, services and facilities offered ;
> an exhaustive registration form.
