Bernd Bierbaum is an anthropologist based in Cape Town. He has done research in Brazil and Indonesia and works as a lecturer worldwide. "Ethiopia fascinates me for it’s human density. The moment I arrive, I feel connected to an all encompassing yet quiet infrastructure of eyes, movements and intentions. I am allowed to appreciate this, even though I don’t understand all it’s meaning.
