A mixture of, and a clever balance between the love of music, artistic rigour and teaching ability have brought this choir up to international standards. They’ve collaborated with world-class renowned artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Natalie Dessay, Felicity Lott, James Conlon and Patrice Chéreau. In South Africa, for the first time, 60 young singers will be on stage to present the Requiem of Gabriel Fauré.

FAURE REQUIEM
“A soft Requiem like myself”, first heard on January 16th 1888 in the church of the Madeleine in Paris. A more imposing version of the Requiem was performed on July 12th, 1900 at the Palais du Trocadéro. As to which one of these versions is more faithful to the original, is the question that has always been asked ? The Paris National Opera Children’s Choir will be performing the Requiem de Fauré in its original configuration.
