Jane Galassi, has a Fine Arts degree from Unisa. She worked as an artist and sculptor at various commercial venues and as a jewellery designer for a number of years. In 1989, she launched her own factory in Johannesburg, originating a series of figurines for the tourist and international markets, including Disney. She exhibited at the School of Philosophy in 2003 and at Two Oceans in 2004. She published her first book with David Phillips in 2006.
