Synopsis :
Comment le travail a-t-il évolué en un siècle ? Alternant témoignages d’anciens salariés et images d’archives,
le documentaire en deux parties retrace son histoire, d’abord de 1906 à 1975, puis du choc pétrolier à aujourd’hui,
avant d’analyser sa situation actuelle et de s’interroger sur son avenir.
Synopsis :
Created as a two-part feature, this documentary goes back over the history of salaried workers, telling of their hopes, aspirations, doubts and disillusionment. Tying it in with the evolution of the market society, Anne Kunvari describes the metamorphosis of the salaried worker’s condition over three stages : the birth, the apotheosis, and what she herself refers to as the “unravelling”. This historical perspective, sensitive and earnest, is punctuated with testimonials and insight from historians and researchers.
