Comics Brew Angoulême / South Africa New talent exhibition Exhibitions, competitions & workshops @ Alliance Française du Cap

In partnership with the 2006 edition of Comics Brew, The Alliance Française of Cape Town, with the participation of Lewis Trondheim (Grand prix of the 2006 festival of Angoulême), is organising an exhibition dedicated to Young Talents of European and South African Comic Strips, as well as workshops, as from 30 October until 5 December 2006.

Created by the International Festival of Comic Strips of Angoulême, this touring exhibition « Jeunes Talents » will be presented to the public.

In this light, 20 South African « Jeunes talents » will present their unpublished works within the framework of a collective exhibition around the theme « Première fois » (First time / First experience. Amongst them, Brice Reignier, honoured in 2006 by the International Festival of Angoulême.

These works will be published in the « The Outline Project comic ». It’s an opportunity for both the public and professionals to discover the amazing vitality of the young South African generation...

A competition for school-goers will also be organised with numerous albums to be given away.
