Adults - Alter Ego+

For adults, we use the Alter Ego+ series of books from the well-known editor, Hachette. With a revised edition published in 2012, this modern series has fast become the go-to method for French Language Learning. The series is based on the competency levels defined by the CEFRL (A1-B2) and follows a communicative approach, guaranteed to get you speaking in no time! Alter Ego+ also offers a short evaluation at the end of each chapter in line with the requirements for the DELF examination.

Students will benefit from:

  • A full-colour textbook which includes appendices on vocabulary, verb conjugation tables, grammar notes and transcriptions of all audio files
  • An activity book with additional exercises for further learning
  • Two CDs (one with the textbook and one with the activity book) containing a variety of real-life dialogues and exercises to practice oral comprehension
  • Access to an online component, Parcours Digital, offering hundreds of additional activities for independent learning as well as a dashboard to track your progress.

 

Corporate - Objectif Express


For corporate classes, we use the latest edition of Objectif Express, published by Hachette in 2013. This method is aimed at equipping adults to interact with French-speaking individuals in a professional environment. With notes on cultural and professional norms, this series is perfect for students in the corporate world. Evaluations at the end of each chapter prepare students for the DELF Pro offered by the CIEP or the DFP Affaires offered by the CCIP.

  • An activity book with additional exercises for further learning
  • A DVD containing a variety of real-life video scenarios and exercises to practice oral comprehension

 

Teens - Adomania

For teenagers, we use a series called Adomania. Published in 2016, this revised method is perfectly adapted to the interests of teens. It proposes many fun and interactive tasks to make learning French a group effort, all the while discussing themes relevant to a teen's daily life. The method also boasts additional video content developed in partnership with TV5Monde where French teens invite learners to discover their daily life in France, making their learning so much more real. The end of each chapter also contains a short evaluation aimed at preparing teens to write the DELF Junior exam.

  • An activity book with additional exercises for further learning

Children - Les Loustics

For children aged 7 to 12 years, we use a series called Les Loustics. This interactive method published by Hachette in 2013 makes learning French great fun! The method proposes a variety of craft activities, songs, poems and games to foster a love for French language and culture as well as lay a solid foundation for future language learning. The logical progression of the series prepares children for the DELF Prim examination.


Children will benefit from:

  • A full-colour textbook which includes transcriptions of all songs and poems learnt in class
  • A full-colour activity book with 130 stickers to make learning fun
  • A CD of French songs and poems
