Bev Scott-Brown graduated with a BMus from Wits University Music School winning the award for top performer of her year. She is a sought after and experienced performer and session singer, having recorded on multiple albums and radio/TV jingles and performed with top Cape Town bands. Her album received widespread radio play. She is the producer of the GrandWest Open Mic Jazz Singing Competition as well as the Cape Town International Jazz Festivals’ espYoungLegends Competition, is a preliminary round judge for The Voice SA and is on the board of trustees for Inspired Stages. Bev was invited to perform at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in 2007 and runs her own entertainment business, Spotlight Music. She is a gifted singer with a distinct voice and well-defined vocal style. Bev’s charm as a singer lies in her ability to deliver a vocal performance that is honest, unaffected and eloquently understated.
