On Saturday the 4th of February 2017, Usiba Noncwadi will be hosting an Album Listening session at the Alliance Française where they will be performing their newest songs and also giving a taste of thier upcoming album.
The evening show will be primarily to fundraise for Studio time, so they can start with the recordings their very first Studio Album to follow up our 2008 Live Recorded album "Ncwadification alive" which was recorded live at The Opera House.
Usiba Noncwadi will present 2 sets on the evening. This is surely a night one shouldnt miss as it is sure to be filled with high spirited soul music from start to finish. Also there will be music from their “selectah” for the evening that will usher our guests into a nice vibe evening.

Usiba Noncwadi is a 4 piece soul band with a touch of hip hop. Usiba Noncwadi is often stylized as "USBNCWD”. The band's music is mostly soul, with a touch of jazz and hip-hop. The lyrics are 90% Xhosa and 8% English and 2% basically, humming and wailing. The band is made up of four members, Ohayv Ahbir on voice and keys, Seemkhai onguitar, Yahav on drums and Syfo Matshitshi on bass. Since they first came out, circa mid-2005, they have graced big stages around Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape. Opening act for Metro FM awards in 2006, sharing stages and opening up for George Benson in Port Elizabeth, Hugh Masekela, Ntando, Freshly ground, Proverb, PROkid, Gloria Bosman, and many more. Sadly, the band disbanded in 2011 to pursue solo careers in different fields of expertise. But it was in 2016 that people across South Africa were overwhelmed by the news that Usiba Noncwadi is back... Since return, the band has performed at The Annual Richmond Hill Street Music Festival 2016 in Port Elizabeth that the Alliance Française organises.
