Co-ordinated by the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine and the Institut Français d'Architecture, the exhibition focuses on architecture in tune with current urban situations, territorial or programme-related issues that are relevant throughout the world.

Architectures of Delight gathers exceptional photographs of master architects' buildings as well as anonymous constructions which make of the exhibition a visual tribute to diversity, freedom, a certain taste for adventure, generosity, integrity, lightness and forms of enchantment...

Hip hop dance performance with Soul City

Saturday 25th September at 20:30 at the Northern Arts Festival (Bethelsdorp).

“Today, in front of you, I confess, today, I want to rise from dreams and dance reality.” The dance group, Soul City, from Reunion led by Kenji, derives its inspiration from dance, hip hop and its Reunion roots. The group will present two different choreographic performances. The first - Haine Terre Rieur - made up of a duo of dancers presenting a mixture of break and dance. The second - A contre Sud - will be performed by three South African dancers and will showcase their current group collaboration following their participation in the 12th dance festival held in Durban.

Enrolling for the 4th term :

The end of the 3rd term is Friday the 17th September 2010 for all group classes. The 4th term for existing classes will commence the week of the 27th September. Please confirm your attendance in the 4th term by contacting the Alliance at 041 585 7889 or send an email to assistantafpe@telkomsa.net

New beginners classes :

Registration from the 27th September to the 1st October. Morning classes commence on Monday the 4th October at 10:00 and evening classes on Monday the 4th October at 17:30, provided that a minimum of 8 people register for the course. Here are a few tips to help you become an eco-citizen at work :

• Switch off the light when you leave a room. Switch off computers at the end of the day. Be aware that 10 % of your electricity represents the consumption of all your equipment staying in a standby mode.

• Think before you print ! Avoid wasting paper by using both sides of the sheet and reuse paper for rough work ;

• Use “green” office stationary : recycled paper, refillable or recycled pens, these alternatives are becoming more and more readily available.
